WE’RE BACK !
Welcome to the website of the RSA London and Home Counties (LHC) Branch. Here you will find information about us and our activities. LHC is the largest of the Branches of the RSA with over 2000 members and has one if the most extensive and varied social programmes each year. Our geographical position around the capital gives many opportunities for visits and theatrical and other activities. We welcome all members to join with us and participate in as many as you are able.
Our new programme starts in August with a walking tour of ‘Secret London’ before following up with a guided visit of the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum postponed from last year. All information available on the events pages.
Emails sent to members to keep them up to date are often returned as email addresses are changed and not notified to us. Please make sure we have the latest one. Let the Membership Secretary know – firstname.lastname@example.org
London Branch, formed in 1978, meeting regularly at the Prince of Wales public house (or Charlie's Bar) in Great Queen Street, and more recently at the Freemasons' Arms in Long Acre. Since then, it organised reunions, acting as a contact point for former staff of the CAA and since 1996 CAA and NATS. Latterly visits to sites of interest and a full programme of events is run each year.
In 2016, Eastern Branch amalgamated with London due to difficulties in forming a committee, to be followed in 2017 by WHC for the same reason. We became the London and Home Counties (LHC) Branch.
Much of the early history and activities of the Branches is not yet known, and if any member has such information or photographs please let the committee know so that we can build a full picture, We can scan and return the originals if necessary.
